There’s something about The Paseo that just feels magical! Maybe it’s the way the Superstition Mountains seem to glow at golden hour, or the way the desert air quiets everything down so you can really feel the moment. I had the privilege to second shoot with Carmela Joy Photography for this wedding at The Paseo that was the perfect blend of elegance and ease, grounded in nature but full of intentional, personal details.
From the start of the day, there was a calm energy that was joyful, but never rushed. The bride got ready surrounded by her closest girls, the room full of soft laughter, music, and quiet anticipation. Her dress had the perfect balance of structure and softness, and the way it moved in the wind was just unreal. Then, the groom shared a sweet first look with his bride, and we had time for some afternoon portraits before the ceremony.
The ceremony took place against The Paseo’s signature desert backdrop and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The light was soft, the vows were heartfelt, and then just as the sun dipped behind the mountains, the whole space turned to gold. At the reception, guests were greeted by a warm desert breeze and cozy string lights with earth tones, soft textures, and floral details that nodded to the natural beauty of the setting without overpowering it.
What I truly admire about working with Carmela is how deeply she connects with her couples. She creates a space where everyone feels comfortable and seen, and that energy translates into the photos in the most beautiful way. It’s inspiring to watch her work not just as an artist, but as a kind, thoughtful person who cares deeply about preserving love stories with honesty and heart. It was an honor to work alongside her!!
Here’s to manifesting another wedding at The Paseo sometime soon!!!
